Mathematical modelling of bacterial growth and water quality in natural and commercial environments

Biofilms can be described by a mathematical model which charts their growth in different nutrient conditions. Such models will be useful in addressing the issues of biofilm growth in industry (water pipes, etc.) and the environment (in groundwater, for example).
