I'm  an associate Teacher of the Architecture School in Barcelona (Universitat Politécnica de Catalunya). I'm currently working on my Phd research about the reduction of the water consumption in the citiy of Barcelona through the Water Sensitive Urban Design Systems (WSUDS) and its environmental and economic assessment.

The main goal of  the thesis is based on rainwater harvesting in order to reduce the water consumption of the city through Wsuds in Barcelona (as an example of Mediterranean city). The second goal is quantifying economically (ROI) and environmentally (through some parameters) the possible benefits, if they exist.

The second goal is analyzing other Wsuds that help to recuperate the water cycle in the urbanized areas in the same terms: economical and environmental. This Suds are constructive systems built in the epidermis of the city that allow to infiltrate the rainwater in the origin, decrease the runoff, recharge the aquifer and improve the metabolysm of the city .

I'm looking for anyone interested in the same topics; not only architects or civil engineers , but telecomunication and/or computer  engineers  interested in developing monitoring systems to quantify them.
