MEET-ME4WATER at the EU-ISMET Conference (Alcalá de Henares)
Alcalá de Henares, Spain, 3-5 September 2014. The "2nd European meeting of the International Society for Microbial Electrochemistry and Technologies (EU-ISMET)" was held at Alcalá University, providing a forum for researchers and professionals in the field of microbial electrochemistry and technologies (METs) to discuss and present their research. Abraham Esteve-Núñez, chair of the local organising committee, and member of MEET-ME4WATER, welcomed the participants at the marvellous facilities of the university. Korneel Rabaey (International Society for Microbial Electrochemical Techniques and University of Ghent), Xochitl Domínguez Benetton (Flemish Institute for Technological Research), Carlos Aragón (Fundación Centro de las Nuevas Tecnologías del Agua), Amor Larrosa (IMDEA-Agua), and Elena Maneiro Franco (FCC Aqualia), were some of the AG members attending the event and presenting their recent advances in METs. FCC Aqualia, sponsoring the event, promoted the AG at the information point.
