LIFE side event: Presentations available!
The “The LIFE programme: funding opportunities & innovative solutions on wastewater treatment” event took place on 26 September 2017. This technical event gathered a total of nine innovative and highly transferable technologies on wastewater treatment developed by the programme.
Additionally, the side event included presentations on the programme’s topics in the water sector for the following years as well as a slot on LIFE funding opportunities and future call for projects.
The results of this technical event are of interest to:
- Investors and stakeholders in the water sector in search of innovative and marketable solutions to reduce the environmental impact of wastewater treatment; and
- Potential applicants of the LIFE call for projects.

The LIFE programme is the EU’s funding instrument for the environment and climate action. Since 1992, LIFE has co-financed some 4500 projects aiming to preserve Europe’s nature and biodiversity, reduce the environmental impact of several human activities and fight climate change. In the area of water, the progamme has co-funded over 580 projects of which more than 250 are exclusively on wastewater management.
