The geography of future water challenges (PBL, NL)
After our review of the challenges of water, waste and climate change in cities, the Urban Water Atlas for Europe, the Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency (PBL) has published a monumental document: The geography of future water challenges. This report shows that, without improved water management or adaptation to climate change, the global sustainability goals cannot be achieved. The report highlights the urgent need for an integrated approach to limiting climate- and water-related risks. Using maps and infographics, The geography of future water challenges shows the water-related challenges of tomorrow, under a business-as-usual scenario. The report, in my view another nice Global Water Atlas, can be downloaded here.
