Task Force

The EIP Water Task Force is composed of 48 stakeholder representatives and supports the Steering Group with technical advice and expertise. It enables stakeholder groups and enablers for water and innovation to meet and discuss the strategic agenda for water and innovation, plays an important role in coordinating EIP Water activities, and mandates the development of EIP Water tools.

In 2016, the Task Force has been transformed into a pool of experts. These experts will participate in ad hoc Expert Groups that will be organised by the EIP Secretariat on the basis of demand either from the Steering Group or Action Groups, addressing key barriers and bottlenecks. Expert Groups will advise the Steering Group, Action Groups or the Commission on issues and challenges that arise in the course of the work of the EIP Water. Expert Groups will be temporary and will exist until the expected deliverable is finished. Members of the Steering Group or Action Groups and invited experts from outside of the EIP Water selected by the Commission or the EIP Water Secretariat can also join the Expert Groups. The EIP Secretariat and the Commission can provide additional support to Expert Groups as deemed necessary.
